State trooper assassinated 10 miles from my house

And another was injured.

This was someone who just went gunning to kill some cops. To all of you who keep posting that all cops are thugs and are our enemy, this is the logical outcome of your words. You may be just playing to the crowd to get a bunch of your like-minded friends to like your posts, but there are people out there who will take your words seriously.

  1. Oh, relax. I'm sure the gunman's employers have placed him on administrative leave pending a review to ensure that the shooting was in accordance with policy, even if they decline to identify him at this time.

    1. That's very sweet Tom: A young wife is widowed, two young children are fatherless, and for you it is just another occasion to take a swipe at the police. You're doing my job for me, so I suppose I should thank you.

    2. That's standard police procedure. You know, something called due process? But, hey, jump to conclusions. Not like that doesn't ever backfire.

    3. Tom, in all honesty, if you made that comment around me in person, I would lay you out.

    4. Alex, in all honesty, you might attempt to. Unless you're willing to come to Florida or I'm willing to come to Texas, I guess we'll never find out whether or not you're capable of getting that job done.

  2. Especially true of all those who hyped the Cliven Bundy thing as the feds really wanting to kill Bundy.

  3. It's really interesting how often libertarianism can intersect with occasional left-wing hatred of cops/troops.

    1. referring to 'libertarianism' is a bit misleading and vague, given that people like Chomsky refer to themselves as libertarians. The gulf between someone like him and, say, Bob Murphy is vast.
