Dylan's Nobel Prize

Richly deserved.

I hear a bunch of whiney "artistes" who write works others can't understand are griping about it.

To be expected!

  1. I agree.

Songs are literature, and Bob Dylan is the greatest American songwriter of the last half century and then some (he idolized Woody Guthrie, but in my opinion surpassed Guthrie by the late 1960s or early 1970s).

It might be arrogant to assume that his reputation carries that same weight worldwide, and I don't claim to know. But apparently the Nobel committee thinks so.
