Traveling from England to Wales by train, I immediately knew I had crossed the border when all of the towns had English and Welsh names posted, which inspired:

ReplyDeleteWhen an obvious tourist enters a North Scots bar and they're speaking Scots Gaelic, they switch to English. And when a tourist enters a Welsh bar and they're speaking English, they switch to Welsh.
