Why Liberalism Implied the Growth of the State

The great Patrick Deneen shows that liberalism (not just modern left-liberalism, but classical liberalism too) always implied an ever-growing state.

  1. An extremely interesting article in fact. He has successfully articulated some very subtle points I think. I'm going to spend some time mulling it over.
