American Gangster is Awesome
If you are on the fence about this movie, I heartily recommend it. Some day I may write a review for LRC, so for here I'll just say, it's awesome. I don't know how anybody can support the Drug War after watching this.
Wow, I hope you're right. I can't wait to see it. There's just so much drug war hype out there, the latest being the US promise to Mexico of 1.4 billion to fight their vicious drug lords. These guys kill their rivals' favorite singers for Christ's sake! http://www.denverpost.com/portal/headlines/ci_7636348?_loopback=1 Anyway, it's just hard to remember that the terrible mountain of a drug war was built on a molehill of a social problem that probably wouldn't be any worse if drugs were actually legal. In fact, a recent Zogby poll shows that only 0.6% of Americans would use hard drugs like cocaine or heroine if they were legal: http://stopthedrugwar.org/chronicle_blog/2007/dec/05/poll_hard_drug_legalization_little_use

Puzzled? Allow me to help. Dopes are impervious to sense. It's that simple.
