    I thought they reserved the right to be non-voters, and considered non-voting a valid choice. At least when you come to Crash Landing you don't have to look at two McCain/Palin banner adds, like that other blog.

    No, you're mixed up. It's the oil companies who pay me to lie. And if the McCain campaign is paying me to write blogs entitled, "Sarah Palin Is Not Dumb. Evil Perhaps, But Not Dumb" then she really is dumb.

    (The serious answer to your question is, Google fills in the ad based on the content. So e.g. if Gene had installed Google ads on this site, your post "The Best of Sarah Palin" would almost certainly have been matched with the same ad.)

    I've been clicking on the Palin/McCain adds often, just to waste their money. Do you get paid for each unique user you deliver? I'd encourage everyone to do the same, waste McLame's warchest.

 I am currently reading The Master and His Emissary , which appears to be an excellent book. ("Appears" because I don't know the neuroscience literature well enough to say for sure, yet.) But then on page 186 I find: "Asking cognition, however, to give a perspective on the relationship between cognition and affect is like asking astronomer in the pre-Galilean geocentric world, whether, in his opinion, the sun moves round the earth of the earth around the sun. To ask a question alone would be enough to label one as mad." OK, this is garbage. First of all, it should be pre-Copernican, not pre-Galilean. But much worse is that people have seriously been considering heliocentrism for many centuries before Copernicus. Aristarchus had proposed a heliocentric model in the 4th-century BC. It had generally been considered wrong, but not "mad." (And wrong for scientific reasons: Why, for instance, did we not observe stellar parallax?) And when Copernicus propose...

Bob has introduced a largely irrelevant criterion here with his "against their will." Let us start with killing. (No, no, not killing Bob : we still love him despite his obstinacy.)
