Justice in Athens

Athens had a distinction between private suits and public suits, which seems to be somewhat like ours between civil law and criminal law.

Guess which kind of suit one brought for murder, and which for adultery?

  1. I assume that murder was a private suit and adultery a public suit because if it was the other way around, what most people think it would be, then it would no be interesting enough to post about.
