Words You Can't Remember?
Do you have any words the definition of which just won't stick in your head? 'Bathos' is like that for me. I must have looked that sucker up thirty times now, and just had to do so again this morning.
Haha, 'bathetic' for me. 'Synechdoche' used to be one until I got so mad at having to look it up that I made a point to memorize its definition.
ReplyDeleteNow that I look up 'bathos' I see that it can also refer to an abrupt style change. Never knew that.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember the words to the definitions that I cannot remember.
